Pegi Ballenger, who was born and raised in Houston, Texas, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (emphasis in painting) from Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. She also studied commercial art and radio & television at the University of Houston. Pegi has had a 15-year career in graphic art, radio and television and teaches pastel classes at her studio, at the Sheppard Art Institute in Colorado Springs, and in local elementary school special art programs.
