What's So Funny About Getting Old?
(1991)
This collection of cartoons, quips, quotes, and
insights introduces a new comedy genre: elderhumor. It captures the wry
hilarity of our real-life sitcoms. Generational vocabulary gaps,
miscommunications, preoccupation with health and comforts, foibles,
disguises (for aging), even physical limitations -- all can have their
funny sides when we're laughing at ourselves.

Toon Ups (1995) with Jeff Haebig
Cheer up! Shape up! Laugh it up! Toon Ups – Self-Health Humor inspires
people to do all three. It combines our favorite cartoons from seven
previous books with dozens of fresh health cartoons, targeting the key
areas of wellness. Chapters include balanced nutrition, zestful
activity, safety and self-care, daily enhancements, closer relations,
self-worth, and higher purpose.

You Know You're a Minnesotan If... (2000)
What makes Minnesota really special is the people who live here. Some
outsiders may think of Minnesotans as being a little “quirky,” but
Minnesotans know how to laugh, especially at themselves. Professional
cartoonist for the Rochester Post Bulletin and syndicated throughout the
upper Midwest, Ed Fischer lends his perspective on what it means to be a
Minnesotan. Clever cartoons illustrate the stamina, fortitude and
practical nature of residents living in the land of 10,000 lakes. You
know you’re a Minnesotan if: you think long underwear is sexy, you know
101 sneaky ways to get rid of zucchini, you can identify a Northeast
Minneapolis accent.
