About the author
Jane DeLynn is an American novelist and journalist whose fiction gives adolescent and adult women room to be funny, difficult, frank, and self-questioning. In Thrall, newly reissued by Semiotext(e), looks back at lesbian adolescence before Stonewall without smoothing away its contradictions. DeLynn’s other novels move from New York social worlds to intimate, often comic examinations of sex, power, and everyday performance.
