About the author
Joanna Russ was an American writer, critic, and teacher whose science fiction and essays insist that the worlds literature imagines are shaped by the power relations of the worlds readers inhabit. On Strike Against God is a compact, contemporary novel about a woman remaking the terms of her life and desire. Russ’s fiction, criticism, and advocacy helped build a readership for feminist speculative writing and continue to invite argument as well as admiration.
