About the author
Parker Tyler was an American poet, novelist, and film critic whose writing moved between experimental literature and a lasting body of film criticism. His collaboration with Charles Henri Ford, The Young and Evil, drew on the artists and writers around Greenwich Village and made queer life visible in a deliberately unconventional novel. Tyler later brought the same alertness to questions of image, desire, and representation in his writing about cinema.
