About the author
Terry Andrews was a pen name used by American author George Selden, best known for the children’s classic The Cricket in Times Square. Under Andrews, he wrote The Story of Harold, an adult novel that turns the life of a children’s-book writer into a layered story about desire, loneliness, storytelling, and chosen connection. The pseudonym allowed Selden to publish a frank queer novel alongside his better-known children’s books.
