Derrick O’Neal is former drug dealer who is now an anti-drug activist. He spends his time speaking with youth groups about the danger and addiction of dealing drugs. Derrick is a single father of three boys, and resides California.
  • The Game Is Ova (2008)
The Games is Ova portrays deception, greed, death, lust and much more. Derrick O'Neal shares his experience of building a multi-million dollar drug operation and the life he experienced while building it... Derrick graphically details the life of a former drug dealer whose original goal was to become a professional basketball player. He shows the turns his life takes when his dream did not become a reality and life didn'tt turn out the way he planned.

As a young teen, "Clay" learns the meaning of struggle so he soon learns ways to quickly make money get respect and feel power. He also learns that "The Game" ultimately leads to pain, fear, paranoia and sometimes death.

Derrick O'Neal offers a vivid picture into "the game" without sugar coating the rawness of the life of a drug dealer. Critics may be offended by the use of the vernacular and the graphic depiction of his story, but Derrick carefully and creatively reiterates the fact that it was worth it to tell his story, tell the truth and prevent you from losing your son, your daughter, or even yourself to "the game." It is Derrick s desire that every young man and woman struggling with the call of the streets, hear his story and become inspired to GET OUT before it's too late . . . Derrick was one of the fortunate ones to get out with his life and his future.

This true story of a young man s life twenty years ago while in the game, also describes his fears and the obstacles he had to fight in order to establish a better way for himself, without losing his life to become a success story, but not without a struggle.
