Elizabeth Newman is a therapist who specializes in counseling at-risk
and traumatized children. Prior to completing her Master of Science in
Social Work, Beth earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, The
University of Iowa. Beth's fiction has appeared in Arete, Best of
Memphis, The Crescent Review, and Turnstile, and in 2004 she compiled
and edited Small-Town Gay: essays on Family life beyond the big city (Kerlak
Publications). Beth lives in Memphis, TN, and in her spare time is
publicist for a rock singer and rescues Newfoundland and St. Bernard
dogs.
