"Jill Malone went to a German kindergarten,
grade school in the rural southern United States, middle school
in the affluent east, high school and college in Hawaii, and
graduate school in the state of Washington where she now manages
an independent bookstore. She lives with her partner and son,
their three dogs, and a lot of outdoor gear. Red Audrey and the
Roping, her first novel, won the third annual Bywater Prize
for Fiction." --
