THE JESUS BOLT
Memoir of the two summers Micheal Stinson flew around the
bush of Alaska in the 70's prospecting for Uranium for Los Alamos, but
with a Spiritual twist — an intimidating Vietnam Veteran chopper pilot, a
"Shaman of the Tundra", pushed Stinson into a spiritual mode there in the
mountains, meditating, etc.
The memori is called THE JESUS BOLT because that's the term for that
little bit of metal that holds all the blades on the chopper - when that
falls out, the next person you'll be talking to is JESUS...
Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book
(Nov 17, 2009 release)
by Julie Sigwart and
Micheal Stinson
The November 17 release of
Sarah Palin's new memoir,
Going Rogue: An American Life
(November 17, 2009 release), coincides with
the launch of Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity
Book by new independent publisher
TBTM Media. Satirist Micheal
Stinson and political cartoonist Julie Sigwart have teamed up to create
this parody, which mercilessly lampoons Sarah Palin, and skins her
policies like she would a rogue moose.
The 48-page coloring book features puzzles, word games, and mazes, like
"Help Sarah find her way to the White House" and "Where in the world does
domestic Alaskan oil go?" The reader can help Sarah (dressed in fishing
overalls) choose her fishing gear from: an axe, a chainsaw, a pistol, and
a bomb. We've all heard Sarah's "I can see Russia from my house!" -- now
here's your chance to color the Kremlin rouge from her kitchen.
When asked why he wanted to create this political cartoon parody about
Palin, Stinson said, "We are environmentally conscious folks, and consider
Sarah Palin a threat to ecosystems everywhere. She is continuing the
disasterous legacy of George W. Bush, and is an epitome of the
stereotypical 'Ugly American.' We wanted to show the real Sarah Palin,
warts and all, who otherwise is just another slick, glossy PR machine
invention." Stinson added, "Those Palin books, they're just a buncha words
- ours has pictures! And, In the interest of fairness, we have a
confession to make: Palin didn't write this book either."

SYMBOLMAN: A SYMBOL STORY OF A SYMBOL MAN
FROM A SYMBOL TOWN
At last, the long awaited BOOK which spawned the
Hollywood award winning animation is Here! For the many fans of the
Symbolman animations, you now have the opportunity to own the book, and
enjoy the universal tale of a man who must choose between his Country, and
his Mother - told using only international symbols.
Where language is no barrier.
In this amazing book, the saga of Symbolman is told utilizing only a
dreamlike stream of international symbols - kin to stories transmitted by
cave paintings dating from the dawn of man, hierogyphics, and pictographs
of all cultures throughout time - it's like nothing you've ever read.
The author writes: "Like a universal code, a sort of “visual esperanto”
sprang into being, one which I believe allows just about anyone in any
industrialized nation, anywhere on the planet, to read and understand this
Tale, regardless of language."
The Story:
The Government drafts Symbolman, trains him to kill, and seeks to
foreclose on the family farm, a move sure to leave his recently widowed
mother homeless. Her cry for help, in the form of a letter, arrives the
night before he's to be shipped off to war.
But there's much, much more to the story...
The result? A book that is a culmination of a lifetime of studying art,
anthropology, symbolism, and the impact of imagery juxtaposed with the
essence of language.
And it can be yours, to puzzle over with friends, pass on as a unique
gift, or jump into the flow yourself and enjoy the odd effect - as it
creates a movie in your mind.
