Laughlin, Peter Doig with Kasper Konig, ed.
Doig, whose smart, dark figurative painting saw
him nominated for the Turner Prize in 1994, lives and works in Trinidad.
He and the artist Che Lovelace run a small private cinema there,
StudioFilmClub. This series of posters for movies they've shown includes
paintings that refer to key scenes, quote original movie posters, and
weave in broader associations with the films' content.
