One Night Stands Strong
"As
Scott&Scott, the real-life lovers who created Romentics gay romance
novels, we are often asked if our relationship is the basis for our
books. Usually it's just inspiration for our heroes and their
not-so-straight path to true love. However, for our first Amazon short
we finally decided to put our own story into print. You asked for it!
“One Night Stands Strong” is a true-ish, fabulized tale of the night we
met and the following nights that made us much more than a one-night."

Curveball
This short story
derives from my experience as a member of a Catholic parish in Boston during
the height of the priest abuse scandal. I imagined what it would be like for
a regular guy named Chuck (who happened to be one of the abused former altar
boys) to be confronted with a saint-like gay lay minister preaching to him
from the pulpit-immediately after the Red Sox had proved that modern
miracles were possible by winning the World Series.

Since My Last Confession: A Gay Catholic Memoir (2008)
Since My Last Confession
is a funny, irreverent faith journey by a gay Catholic
pursuing his Archbishop in the style of Michael Moore's Roger & Me that
answers the perennial question, "What's a Nice Gay Catholic Part-time Porn
Writer Doing in a Nasty Church Like This?"
Scott Pomfret, a practicing Catholic in a
long-term committed gay relationship with a hardcore atheist, tries to
reconcile his faith with the Catholic hierarchy's bitter attacks on gay
marriage, gay adoption, gay seminarians, Capri pants, innate style, and
anything else remotely homosexual. Convinced that a meeting with the
Archbishop would foster homo-Catholic rapprochement and world peace, Pomfret
pursues the prelate from pulpit to Chancery to state funeral -- and runs
into a host of motorcycle lesbians, gay priests, flaming friars, pious
prelates, would-be Opus Dei monks, dozens of Irish women named Mary, and
angry orthodox bloggers along the way. Addressing topics ranging from a
firsthand account of a 1970s SWAT team raid of a gay Mass to "Ten Ways to
Recognize a Gay Catholic" to Harry Potter's Satanism, Confession is one
man's personal experience of wrestling with faith, doubt, sex, love, and
priestly undergarments.

Surf 'N' Turf (2006)
--
Finalist,
2006
Lambda Literary Award for
Romance
(Gay Male)
Who knew the surf of Seaside was the turf of gay
gangs? When Southern-boy Blakely and bookstore-owner Robert each escape
to the gay resort town for the summer, they find themselves amongst the
Queenies and the Meanies-gangs who rule Seaside with a bitchy limp wrist
and a leather-clad fist. Once the gangs set their sights on the two
newcomers, they'll do anything to keep the men from setting their hearts
on each other. Through both tragedy and comedy, these modern-day
star-crossed lovers get ready to rumble for true love. -
Hot Sauce (2005)
A sizzling hot literary concoction of love, passion,
drama, and the importance of trusting one's heart from two talented new
voices in fiction. Brad Drake has come a long way from tiny Durgin City,
Iowa. In his late 20s, he's a respected celebrity chef with a great
apartment, a bustling social life, and a wonderful relationship with
Troy Boston, a hip fashion designer and boutique owner. But Brad's world
is suddenly shattered when a figure from Troy's past, the flamboyant
Aria Shakespeare, shows up with damning evidence of Troy's infidelities.
As spicy as a Bloody Mary with extra Tabasco, this tale of
relationships, lies, and trust will keep readers enthralled-and
frantic-until its final surprising pages.

Nothing Personal (2005)
The gay marriage ban is nothing personal, unless
you're a Cuban-American gay man in the heart of red-state America. Carlo
Batista takes on longtime conservative Tall Tony Scipione in a race for
state representative. And he takes on mystery man Brian Gallagher in the
race for his heart. Breaking all the rules of polite society, Carlo
proves that love, sex, politics, and religion do mix -- with hilarious
and heart-warming results.

Nick of Time (2004)
Nick is a savagely handsome stonemason who has
given up on gay men and has agreed to marry an Irishwoman who needs him
for a green card. Brent is dancer from the city in town for his sister's
wedding. To Nick, Brent's a bitchy slut who would think nothing of
breaking his heart. To Brent, Nick's just another dumb strong closet
case stuck a thousand miles from the city beat. But when opposites
attract, who is going to tell the Irishwoman that her time is up?
Razor Burn (2003)
Blayne is strictly business-a stuffed shirt
working for his father's company to develop the next men's razor. Ben is
out of work and out looking for a good time. He's trying to forget his
troubles and get over a past he can't even remember. When they meet in a
coffee shop one afternoon, Ben gets a lot more than a job. And when they
start working together, nothing can keep them apart-not amnesia, not
secrets, not Blayne's father, not even Blayne's wife!
