Willison is one of the founders and teachers of an alternative public
school in Schenectady, NY, 1970-1985. Most recently, Esther was the
assistant director of a teen theater project that brings AIDS education
to the public schools. Her work has appeared in The Stories We Hold
Secret, Common Lives/Lesbian Lives, 13th moon, Harrington Lesbian
Fiction Quarterly, and The Litchfield Review. She has just completed a
memoir about her daughter Andrea. Esther is currently on staff at The
Open Door Bookstore in Schenectady, New York.
