Grant County Series
  1. Blindsighted (2001)
Set in rural Georgia, Blindsighted is the first a series of heart-stopping novels, which stars Dr. Sara Linton, the town's pediatrician and coroner, Jeffrey Tolliver, her wayward ex-husband and chief of police, and Lena Adams, the county's only female detective.

  2. Kisscut (2002)
A dark secret casts a shadow over Grant County when a young girl kills herself in front of the skating rink. She thought she took her secrets to the grave, but Sara finds troubling details that point to a more vicious crime than any of them could have imagined. Jeffrey's investigation uncovers even more horrific clues. Meanwhile, Lena, still struggling with her own demons, forges an unlikely attachment with a troubled young man who could hold the solution to the crimes -- as well as Lena's future -- in his hands.

  3. A Faint Cold Fear (2003)
Sara Linton is called out to an apparent suicide on the local college campus. The mutilated body provides little in the way of clues -- and the college authorities are eager to avoid a scandal -- but for Sara and police chief Jeffrey Tolliver, things don't add up.

Two more suspicious suicides follow, and a young woman is brutally attacked. For Sara, the violence strikes far too close to home. And as Jeffrey pursues the sadistic killer, he discovers that ex-police detective Lena Adams, now a security guard on campus, may be in possession of crucial information. But, bruised and angered by her expulsion from the force, Lena seems to be barely capable of protecting herself, let alone saving the next victim.

  4. Indelible (2004)
When medical examiner Sara Linton and police chief Jeffrey Tolliver take a trip away from the small town of Heartsdale -- an escape from all the pressures which complicate their relationship -- it should be a straightforward weekend at the beach. But they decide to take a detour via Jeffrey's hometown and things go violently wrong when Jeffrey's best friend Robert shoots dead an intruder who breaks into his house.

Jeffrey and Sara are first on the scene and Jeffrey's keen to clear his friend's name, but for Sara things aren't so simple. The sear marks around the bullet-hole don't tally with Robert's story. Robert's wife, Jessie, is incoherent and confused. And when Jeffrey appears to change the crime scene, Sara no longer knows who to trust. Twelve years later, Sara and Jeffrey are caught up in a shockingly brutal attack which threatens to destroy both their lives. But they're not random victims. They've been targeted. And it seems the past is catching up with both of them...

  5. Faithless (2005)
The victim was buried alive in the Georgia woods -- then killed in a horrifying fashion. When Sara Linton and Jeffrey Tolliver stumble upon the body, both become consumed with finding out who killed the pretty, impeccably dressed young woman. And for Sara and Jeffrey, a harrowing journey begins, one that will test their own turbulent relationship and draw dozens of lives into the case.

Desire leaves a man destroyed ... A young girl's curiosity reveals secrets better left hidden ... Jealousy drives a woman mad ... An obsession with numbers precipitates a deadly revenge ... Ambition leads to a curious exchange ... An uncanny likeness changes two lives forever ... The hand of fate lies buried in the past ...

An unforgettable novel in seventeen parts by some of the most prestigious crime writers working today.

    One bracelet, seventeen charms ...

From nineteenth-century Georgia, where the bracelet is forged in fire, to wartime Leeds, the seedy underside of London's Soho, a Manhattan taxi, the frozen cliffs of Nova Scotia, and back to Georgia, each writer weaves a gripping story of murder, betrayal, and intrigue.

  • Triptych (2006)
When Atlanta police detective Michael Ormewood is called out to a murder scene at the notorious Grady Homes, he finds himself faced with one of the most brutal killings of his career: Aleesha Monroe is found in the stairwell in a pool of her own blood, her body horribly mutilated. As a one-off killing it's shocking, but when it becomes clear that it's just the latest in a series of similar attacks, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are called in, and Ormewood is forced into working with Special Agent Will Trent of the Criminal Apprehension Team -- a man he instinctively dislikes. But then, only 24 hours later, the violence Michael sees around him every day explodes in his own back yard. And, it seems the mystery behind Monroe's death is inextricably entangled with a past that refuses to stay buried...
