"Kathie Bergquist has worked as a bookseller, buyer, and publicist in independent bookstores in Chicago for more than twelve years, at both Unabridged Bookstore and Women & Children First Bookstore. She, with Robert McDonald, is co-author of A Field Guide to Gay and Lesbian Chicago. Her writing has also appeared in The Advocate, Out, Publishers Weekly, The Lambda Book Report, Girlfriends, Diva,Curve, The Harrington Lesbian Literary Quarterly, and the anthology Best Date Ever: The Lesbian Edition (Alyson Press). She has a BA in Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago, where she is currently working on an MFA, and she is hard at work finishing her first novel, Beautiful Radiant Things." -- Saints & Sinners
