Kathleen Warnock is the recipient of the 2006 Robert Chesley Award for Playwriting.  She is one of the chairs of the Robert Chesley/Jane Chambers Playwrights Project at TOSOS II Theater. She is a member of TOSOS II, the Dramatists Guild, the Publishing Triangle, Emerging Artists Theater, and a founder of En Avant Playwrights. Her work has also appeared in Rockrgrl, Best Lesbian Erotica, and Harrington Lesbian Fiction Quarterly.  -- from Saints & Sinners

  • Grieving for Genevieve (Midtown International Theater Festival)
    Story of the Peck sisters and their mother who gather for middle sister Delilah\'s wedding. It\'s her third try but it may not be the charm. Oldest sister, Danni, the one who lives in New York (and doesn\'t talk about her personal life) arrives unexpectedly. She\'s not in the wedding, but youngest sister Angel, a nun, is. Their mother Genevieve, a retired nurse and full-time guilt merchant, wants all her girls to pull together and help each other out with the wedding. Suddenly they have to, but for a completely different reason.

    In the competitive world of Division I women's basketball, the Lady Bulldogs fight other teams (and each other) to be the best in the country, under the sometimes-questionable leadership of head coach Norrie Norris. Norris and her staff (assistant coach Spider Webb and trainer Alice Farrell) try to bring the best out of their freshman stars, Mary Ellen Donohue and Faith Peavy, and senior guard Julie Stankavage while avoiding the scrutiny of reporter Casey Carter, and Mary Ellen's mother Meredith.

    Two fans, an older obsessive collector, and a young starstruck young woman musician, wait in the parking lot of a rock club to meet their idol. The security guy's job is to make sure they don't get to do it

  • The Space Between Heartbeats (2000 in Sam French/Love Creek Off-Off Broadway Play Festival)
    Allison, a college professor, hires Mandy to help her clear out her apartment and move. Allison, who had always been with men, falls in love with Mandy. Mandy, whose lover was disabled in an accident, finds herself falling for Allison.

  • Rocks in the Bed (2003 Loewe Theater, New York City)
    Two young men visit a Greenwich Village landmark, and the woman who owns it to find out something important about the old poet who died there.

  • Around the Horn (2004 Gardner-Webb University)
    The African-American groundskeeper of a minor league baseball team finds she has something in common with the Iranian refugee in a small Georgia town. She offers him a chance for redemption.

  • Bushel of Crabs (2004)
    A man and a woman, former lovers, meet for the first time in 10 years in a crabhouse in Baltimore. She wants something from him, but not what he thinks she wants.

  • Rock the Line (Produced February 2006 by Emerging Artists Theatre.
    Seven hardcore rock fans gather in a parking club to await a show starring their favorite performer.
