From a Land in Between: Prose & Poem Tales of Alternative Lives
(2007)
Most people prefer clarity and certainty to limbo
and doubt, yet all of us encounter places in life where nothing seems
sure, and the way forward is unclear. There in that land of hopes,
visions, fantasies and fears, unexpected things happen; relationships,
especially, take surprising turns. Sometimes, we’re relieved just to
survive unforeseen events intact; other times, we’re amazed that
everything seems to work out for the best, even if it’s not the way we
planned. Here are stories and poems about diverse travelers, people from
all walks of life, finding their way to becoming more fully human, more
fully their true selves; on a quest to meet their destinies through the
“land in between,” the place that calls upon them to merge their sexuality
and their spirituality.
