Maureen Seaton's latest collection is Venus Examines Her Breast
(Carnegie Mellon University Press, 2004). She is also the author of
Little Ice Age (Invisible Cities Press, 2001) and Furious Cooking (Iowa,
1996), winner of the Iowa Poetry Prize and the Lambda Literary Award.
Her work has appeared in Best American Poetry, The Atlantic, Paris
Review, New Republic, Green Mountains, Quarter after Eight, and many
other journals both on and off line. She is co-editor, with Denise
Duhamel and David Trinidad, of Saints of Hysteria: A Half-Century of
Collaborative American Poetry (Soft Skull Press, forthcoming). The
recipient of an NEA fellowship, Illinois Arts Council grant, and two
Pushcarts, she is currently Director of Creative Writing at the
