Abbey Series

1. The Buried Cross (2004)
   When an ancient coffin is discovered in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey the local monks believe they've revealed the final resting place of King Arthur and his queen. In the coffin is also found a crude leaden cross. But when the cross and the bones are stolen, Gwyneth and Hereward have to find out their whereabouts. Their hunt leads them to a labyrinth of underground tunnels where they meet a hermit - could he be able to shed some light on the disappearance of the cross? 2. The Silent Man (2004)
   When Lord Ralph's young daughter goes missing in the village, the gentle mute Bedwyn is arrested for murder and thrown into the Abbey dungeons. Gwyneth and Hereward refuse to believe that this shy man could be responsible for such a despicible crime and set about trying to prove his innocence. While Bedwyn languishes in prison the girl's father receives a ransom note - his daughter is alive after all. But part of the ransom is that he mustn't tell anyone. How can Hereward and Gwyneth persuade Lord Ralph to speak up so Bedwyn will be released? 3. The Scarlet Spring (2004)
   At the foot of Glastonbury Tor is a blessed spring where the water runs red, supposedly representing the blood of Christ. Gwyneth and Hereward set about trying to solve the murder and once again find themselves calling upon the old hermit, Ursus, for help. 4. The Drowned Sword (2005)
   Hereward discovers a buried sword and realizes it has extraordinary power, but what he doesn't realize is that this sword is Excalibur and that his life is now in grave danger. Ursus and Gwyneth must make Hereward see that the treasured sword has to be returned to its burial place - until the time is right for it to be found again . . .   The court of Camelot is unsettled by the arrival of Loholt, King Arthur's illegitimate son. Arthur's seneschal and foster brother, the redoubtable Sir Kay, is especially suspicious of Loholt's motives. And when Loholt is killed, Kay finds himself under suspicion of murder.
  
  Stripped of his knighthood, Kay forges an unwilling alliance with the renegade Briant and his lover, the enchantress Brisane, who seek to bring down the men closest to the king. If Sir Kay cannot redirect their plot or win back the court's trust, nothing will save Camelot from the twin threats of war and evil sorcery.
