  5. Murder in the Rue St. Ann (2004)
When sexy gay private eye Chanse MacLeod investigates the financial shenanigans of club promoter Mark Williams, he discovers that not only does Williams have ties to the New Orleans judiciary, he also has ties to Chanse's lover, Paul-a connection that reveals secrets about Paul's past that Chanse had never guessed and now wishes he didn't know. When Paul disappears, it seems his past has caught up with him in a terrifying way.

  6. Mardi Gras Mambo (2006) -- Finalist 2006 Lambda Literary Award for Gay Men's Mystery)
It's Carnival time in New Orleans, and in pre-Katrina fashion, Scotty Bradley is looking forward to relaxing with his friends, Frank and Colin, and partying it up right. Nothing ever seems to work out the way Scotty wants it to, however. Not only is it cold and rainy, ruining his elaborate costume plans, but Frank, a former FBI agent, has "issues" with the party plans - which include a delivery from Scotty's dealer, Misha. After a night of partying, they come home to find the cops waiting for them. Misha has apparently been murdered. It turns out he was in trouble with a lot of people, including the Russian mob.

Suddenly, Scotty is missing not just one but two boyfriends. He must fight his way through a hot human frenzy of sequins, music, dancing, and the sweat of thousands of revelers in a desperate race to save the men he sometimes loves and keep this Mardi Gras from being the last day any of them ever see.

  7. Murder in the Rue Chartres (2007) -- Winner 2006 Lambda Literary Award for Gay Men's Mystery)
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Chanse MacLeod returns to a different, shattered New Orleans in an attempt to rebuild his own life and face his own future. When he discovers that his last client before the storm was murdered the very night she hired him to find her long-missing father, he is drawn into a web of intrigue and evil that surrounds the Verlaine family.

  8. Murder in the Rue Ursulines (2008)
Chanse MacLeod is hired by a Hollywood "golden couple" to find out who is sending them threatening emails. When the main suspect turns up dead, Chanse must wade through his client's murky and sometimes manufactured pasts to get to the truth.

  9. Murder in the Garden District (October 1, 2009 release)
When the scion of one of the leading political dynasties in Louisiana is murdered, Chanse is hired to prove that the murderer was someone from outside the family—despite the fact that everyone in the family had a reason for wanting him to dead. As Chanse digs into the family’s sinister past and present, his own life is on the line in the race to catch a killer.
